Paris-born Aurélie Godet’s film career began in 2004, assisting Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón on project development. Subsequent years as the Deputy Director of Unifrance’s New York office enabled her to contribute to the promotion of French cinema in the US and to collaborate with independent distributors and North American film festivals. After relocating to Europe in 2010, she worked as a consultant for production companies and wrote for several publications, such as Cahiers du Cinéma.
In 2013, she joined the selection committee of the Locarno Festival. In 2014 she contributed in launching the first international film festival in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Aurélie also co-programmed the 3 Continents festival in Nantes and is a programming consultant and moderator at the festival of La Roche-sur-Yon. She has been a member of the advisory committee at Arte France Cinema for five years.
