The retrospective of the 63rd Festival will be dedicated to the German-American director Ernst Lubitsch. Frenchman Olivier Père took up his post as new Locarno Festival Artistic Director on Sept. 1st. The 63rd Film Festival Locarno will take place from August 4 to 14, 2010. The 2009 awards were announced on August 15 at the Piazza Grande, during the closing night of the 62nd Festival. The Golden Leopard 2009 goes to SHE, A CHINESE by Xiaolu GUO. The Golden Leopard for the Filmmakers of the Present Competition 2009 goes to THE ANCHORAGE by Winter & Edström. Every day the French photographer Xavier Lambours proposed his special look on the 62nd Film Festival.
