Werner Herzog's Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World will be the closing film for L’immagine e la parola, the Festival del film Locarno's spring event.

Highlights of the fourth edition of L’immagine e la parola (10 – 13 March), presented at today's press conference, will include the presence of filmmaker Bruno Podalydès,  who will introduce his latest film Comme un avion and the theater adaptation of the book Jekyll & Hyde by Lorenzo Mattotti and Jerry Kramsky, based on the famous Robert Louis Stevenson novel.

These are some of the offerings among the rich and diverse program that Blutch and Lorenzo Mattotti have put together with the Festival's Artistic Director Carlo Chatrian and the event's curator Daniela Persico: an  immersion in the creative worlds of the two artists, comprising workshops, screenings and discussion.

Once again this year there is a strong educational/training component to the event: students of film, illustration and comic books will have an opportunity to participate in creative labs on the graphic novel, in which this means of expression will be explored to highlight issues and enable in-depth investigation, that also relate to how films are conceived.

This fourth edition of the Festival del film Locarno's spring event will close with the international premiere of Werner Herzog's latest film: Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World. The documentary, warmly received by critics and audiences alike at the Sundance Film Festival in the USA, is a reflection on the world in the internet era, a critical analysis of the web's impact on our interconnected society; which the filmmaker postulates as one of the most revolutionary that human beings are undergoing.

The fourth edition of L’immagine e la parola will take place 10 – 13 March.
